The good and bad of it

I didn't realize that more and more restaurants are now part of a franchise. It seems like every fast food place I go to now is owned by an individual instead of a corporation. I'm not sure if this makes for a better establishment or worse. I think it goes both ways an equal amount of time. I've been in some franchise restaurants that are fantastic and some that are absolutely disgusting. I think if I had my choice, I'd rather go to a corporately owned fast food place...but that's just my opinion.
